How wonderful it is to do nothing...

and then rest afterward.

Aren't they cute?! They're eyes are open now but they still can't see. The eyeballs actually look blind but the vet assured me they will clear up in a week or so.

One of the good things about living near the main highway, just around the corner from the firehouse, is that you get great seats to the local parade. Another good thing is that if the parade sucks, you can get in the car and drive 30 seconds around the corner to the house.

Yep, that's what we did tonight. Maybe it's because we were on the opposite side of the highway, maybe it was the heat. Whatever the reason, the parade was BORING. Thomas and I ditched the neighbors that were sitting next to us and we left. I did manage to snap a few pictures.

Fire trucks, ambulances, etc...whoopie.

The llama business must be paying off for this guy. Check out that ride.

This is the float that the church across the street created. They are having Vacation Bible School in July and I believe it's an advertisement for their theme. Thomas will be going so I'll find out what it's about then. Blow up pineapples and palm trees. I can't wait.

Funny thing is, a neighboring church had the same things in their float and a sign on it about VBS also. Guess they have the same material this year.

Hot, tired, bored. He got home, put on his swim trunks and joined his friend next door in some water slide fun. They have this great big thing that blows up. They have to use our water. Their well is acting stupid.

Yes, it was as boring as it looks. Each firehouse has a carnival every summer to benefit the department. Ours started last night and ends Saturday. We are going Saturday if I can switch my schedule at work with someone. Shawn went tonight with a few friends.

I have to work early in the morning so I'm off to bed.

Toodles.
