Lessons Learned...

Yesterday I made the mistake of declaring out loud, in my car, on the way to work...."I'm going to have a great day!"

Uh huh. It started out ok. I got to work in one peice. I was alone. This is good...no one to bug me. I started moving vacuum boxes around and had an asthma attack. I've had a head cold and it's taken up residency in my lungs. I got over that with the aide of an inhaler. I then proceeded to drop a box on my head while I was lifting it up to a shelf. Ok so I wasn't supposed to be doing that without help but I was ALONE, remember?? Well, my forehead and I learned our lesson.

I took a lunch break and went to the doctors to have some labs drawn. The ditz the night before said she couldn't find my vein and wanted to stick my lower arm...NOT. I have drawn blood before, and had she looked in the right place, she'd have found the vein.

So a different nurse sticks the needle in my arm...and I swear, she was trying to see if it would come out the other side! She claimed my vein was at an angle. Umm...sure. After inflicting pain on me, I started crying. It hurt, do you blame me?

I recovered from that and went back to work. While working on the Sign Writer, I got a migraine. I NEVER get these at work! They are visual migraines. They start with squiggly lines in my vision, in the shape of a V that's on it's side, and as it grows, the skin around my eye and cheek goes numb. Then once the squigglies are gone, the headache hits.

I gave up and went home an hour early to lie down. I won't make the same mistake twice. From now on, I'll keep my mouth shut on the way to work!
