Yay for me....

I have been very busy. Thomas has been sick. I am working full time and taking two classes at the college. I was doing well at keeping up until last week when I got sick.

Last night I had three chapters to read in my computer class and three pre-tests to do online before taking the test this morning. This is not a quick thing as the chapters are LONG. There is so much information crammed into one chapter that it makes my brain hurt. I started reading/studying at 11pm and finished around 2:45am when I started falling asleep.

Today I went to class and passed the test with an 88. The average score was 72. I haven't the slightest clue how I did it. I still say that the majority of information I feed into my brain cells seeps out almost as quickly as it goes in!

This Computer Concepts and Applications class has two parts. The first was on the workings of the computer, hardware, security, networks, LANS, WANS and well, you get the the picture...BS pretty much. The reason I took the class was for the second part which is learning the Microsoft Office Suite. Thank the good Lord I made it through the first half and now the good stuff is going to start on Thursday.

Thomas has been sick since last Thursday. I thought his fever was gone this morning but it just came back again. He visisted his doctor yesterday and received an antibiotic and inhaler. I hate to see him sick but I'd rather it happen now than when we get to Disney World on Oct. 11.

This November, Tom will have been gone 10 years. He had Thomas, our son, at the age of 45. He never thought he'd be a father so Thomas was a welcome surprise. Tom always said that he wanted to take him to Disney World when he was 5 years old.

When Thomas was 8 months old, Tom was diagnosed with Lou Gherig's Disease. Tom realized that he wasn't going to be around when Thomas was 5 so he asked his sister and I to take him. Once Thomas turned 5, we decided to wait until he was 10 or so because we thought he would appreciate the trip more and could handle all the walking around at an older age. So here we are, 10 years later, planning a trip to the big DW. Oh and Thomas is now 11.

I have to purchase my ticket in a few days. Aunt D. is buying Thomas' ticket. We have rented a large place with tons of rooms and a pool. I think there's 20 or so people going now. The are all Aunt D's kids and grandkids. I'm sure we'll have a great time and I plan on taking alot of pictures.

TIP OF THE DAY: Always give yourself plenty of time to study. Cramming at the last minute only leaves you tired and grumpy the next day!
