A Wedding, a Reunion and a Birthday

GREGS SON GETS MARRIED...

SATURDAY...5:30pm...hot, sticky, humid. OUTDOOR wedding. Even though the weather left a lot to be desired, it was worth suffering through to see Tommy and Stephanie tie the knot. The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time.

Tommy, waiting for his bride. He was looking over his shoulder at his father who was also his best man.

Here they are taking their vows. Stephanie had the giggles, which I think came after her trying to not cry, and Tommy remained very serious, as did his dad.

Here is the couples first dance.

THOMAS MEETS HIS FATHERS FAMILY...

SUNDAY...We left the reception around 11:00pm. I have been having trouble sleeping and this night wasn't any different. I had to wake up at 6am and drive to Pennsylvania and had only slept for three hours. I was worried that I would start to fall asleep on the three hour ride, but didn't have much trouble. Twice Thomas and I opened the windows and the sun roof, blasted the music and sang until I felt wide wake again. It turned out to be a nice ride and the house was easy to find.

Here is Thomas' Aunt and her cousin Glen. Behind them is "Aunt Sis". She is a sweetheart and made us feel right at home. We spent the afternoon sitting on the covered porch. The humidity left and it was an absoutely perfect day! And of course, we hade TONS of food.

We played a game called corn toss. I had never heard of it but someone came into my store a while back asking for it. We did carry it but under another name. I didn't do so well. I only got one bean bag into the hole. Thomas' uncle had great aim and was kicking butt the whole time.

I think Thomas was tired of me taking pictures.

It wouldn't be a propper reunion without the family group photo. Here's Thomas with his newly found extended family. Most of the older adults are his fathers first cousins. A handful of them are their children.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AMANDA!

Who grew up to be this very pretty stinker...

Happy Birthday, Amanda! Now go and behave yourself, stay out of the bars and leave the beer drinking friends behind. Find some nice young boy with a college degree and a good job and marry that sucker!! heh.

You just caught me in the middle of fixing all the mistakes and typos in the post. I was half asleep last night when I typed it.
