What a day...

It started out with me not wanting to get up. I had a migraine and the squiggly lines dancing in my vision were bugging me out. I don't always get a headache afterwards but today I got a killer one. It didn't help that once at work, the back door alarm started going off. I had to rescue my customers that were waiting for their freezer and the sound just about did me in.

The good thing is that by 10:30am I had sold $3200 worth of merchandise. This is a good day, as far as I'm concerned. I leave sometimes with a big goose egg.

We have a manager who has been fighting cancer for some time now. Actually this is her second bout, but it all started 25 years ago. Four of my co-workers and I drove to the hospital today to visit her. She's not doing well and honestly, we thought it might be the last time we see her.

She was in much better condition than we had expected, as she was feeling much better today than she's felt in a week. They have given her 1 month to live but she says they're wrong. She was very upbeat today, enjoying her visit with "her favorite co-workers from her favorite store".

The cancer has spread to her brain so she was a bit confused at times. Her name is Rheba and if you are a praying type of person, please put one in for her tonight.

Shawn was all into the olympics opening program tonight. He kept coming out to fuss at me for not watching it. I was trying to catch up on a weeks worth of soaps but I finally gave in. I must admit, I enjoyed the program...what I saw of it, anyway. I was bored when people from the different countries started coming in. Click...back to soaps! heh.
