Growing Pains...

The youth group at the church across the street has been hanging out each evening at 7pm. They have invite Thomas over several times and last night he and the next door neighbor hung out with them. They are 6th - 8th graders. Thomas will be in 6th grade this September.

Tonight his friend was not home and he didn't want to go across the street alone. Right after dinner, the teens started playing a game of baseball, with kidie pools filled with water as bases. Thomas asked if he could go over and ride his bike.

I knew the real reason he wanted to go was to see what was up. Sure enough, about 10 minutes into his "ride", he ended up on the porch looking down at the kids. Turns out the neighborhood kid was already there.

Here's the view from my front door. I hope he gains enough confidence to enter the yard and play with them.
