It's not often that I'm able to get all 4 of my children in the same place at the same time. I'm glad I had the camera with me. Left to right are Thomas, Amanda, Christopher and Shawn. Shawn wasn't in the mood for smiling.
So far no one wants to go to college. I have their father to thank for that. He doesn't think that it's a necessity. He says, "Look at me, I didn't go to college and I make good money." Yeah retard, it also took you TWENTY years to get there! Had he gone to college he could have been making that kinda money TWENTY years ago. Goober. What he's really trying to say is, "I don't want to pay for your college education. I'm too busy spending money on myself and your ex-best friend with whom I had an affair and am now married to." (Oops, did I say that out loud?) I have to try to convince one of the younger ones to go instead, I guess. SOMEONE has to support me in my old age! heh.
Amanda announced recently that she is engaged. I should be worried but Amanda changes her mind more often than I change socks. I don't think it'll last...well, I'm HOPING it won't last. He's not marriage material. I think she's smart enough to figure that out eventually.
We cleaned up the basement tonight. Fred is going to start finishing it soon and we had to move all the large things into the center of the room. It just dawned on me that we never decided on what kind of flooring to put down here. Definately not carpet. It'll get too messy. I'll have to think on that one.
Thomas and I are getting our eyes examined tomorrow. We both need new glasses. I feel so old now that I can't see things up close with my glasses on. I also have grey spots floating around in my vision when I try to read. That one worries me.
I had 9 out of 11 chicks hatch yesterday. They are in the basement until I clean out the brooder up on the hill. It housed the batch that started dying and I have to disinfect it before placing others in there. I found my turkey poult on the basement floor earlier cryin his heart out. Ding Dong must have jumped out of his box. Not a good time to be doing that. I just relocated it to the top of the file cabinet. That's a long way down when you're only 6 inches tall. I let him snuggle under my hair for a while then put him back with his buddies.
Here's two of my favorite breeds. That's a "Mille Fleur d'uccle" pullet (girl that's not started laying yet) on the left and a "Black Tailed Buff Japanese" rooster on the right.
I'm going to go curl up with a good book and get to bed. I'm meeting a friend in the morning. We've been trying to get together since before Christmas.
Toodles.

Lovely family, Marsha. And just like mine--three boys, one girl.
Thanks Rob. I think I'll keep them. :)
Sorry about the comment thing earlier. I had it set to send them to my email until I approved them. That's why it didn't show up right away.
Lmao about the x's wife comment. :) Re Amanda, I sure hope she doesn't get all the way there and then have to undo it after getting married. I married the guy i dated/lived with in college and then six months later, move back in with my mom because he was such a JERK. Then I moved 2000 miles away.. and married a super nice guy. And the rest you already know.
It was rought though, and I would love to spare anyone the stress of it all. Even wanting out, it was still very hard.
I'm so glad you have a blog I can read again. :)
