WOW, it's been that long?!

I just realized that it's been 1 month since I posted last. Time flies. I have been staying away from this computer alot and when I'm here, I'm just not in the mood for blogging.

I'm sitting here trying to think of what has happened in the last month...

Amanda wants to move back home. She's 18 and moved back home with dad when she graduated. She found a great job with a real estate company and works at night at a shoe store. This isn't good...the girl has a shoe addiction. The real estate couple want to teach her all about selling houses but she just doesn't seem to realize what a good thing she's got. One day she's all into it then the next she's telling me she's going to school to be a TATOO ARTIST. Now the average mother would freak at this information but knowing my daughter, I just bide my time until she changes her mind again. Now she wants to move back here and go to school to be a veterinary assistant. I will believe it when I see it.

You may recall when I wrote about her coming back to visit. She missed the DOG. Her reasons for moving back now are, "I hate everyone in my house, and I miss Shawn, Thomas and Lucky." I think she really misses me but can't bring herself to admit it....haha.

Shawn starts his first job on Monday. He will be stocking shelves at a tiny grocery/gas store down the road. He's only 15 so I have to drive him. The owners of the store are in Greg's family. Two of their workers also work with me at the daycare. It will be nice for him to make his own money. I took him shopping for clothes the other day and came home $150 poorer.

Thomas started baseball practice last week. They were trying to help him with throwing. This is his fourth year playing ball. He started out not being able to hit the ball at all to last year, hitting home runs. Now he's in the "minor" league and the ball will be pitched to him by another boy, rather than a machine that pitches the ball.

He is bats with his left but throws better with his right. Well, at least he used to throw better with his right. He seems to be struggling with it this time around. Maybe he just needs more practice. I hope he doesn't have to switch arms. That's $30 more for a new glove! ugh.

We didn't renew the contract on the house behind the ball field. It was contingent on the sale of this house...which I'm still sitting in so no, we haven't sold it. That's all I'm going to say about that, It's a sore subject. The house I want is still for sale so I'm going to cross my fingers.

One of my baby chickens died yesterday. I had to do some shuffling around so I could clean out the coop it was in when it died. I don't know what happened so I had to move the other babies out of it so I could disinfect it. This weekend will be filled with chicken stuff. I need to build a new cage inside my big coop. I have babies due to hatch Sunday and I need the space.

Greg is taking thomas fishing, on Saturday afternoon, with his brother-in-law and nephew. That will give me time to shampoo my carpets. They need it.

I just spent the last three weeks working in the Pre-K room at the center. Those are some nasty nose picking, irritating, noisy kids! I thought toddlers were bad about keeping fingers where they belonged. I was always telling someone to get a tissue and wash their hands. Thank God their other teacher is coming back from vacation Monday. We went on a field trip last week to a petting zoo and I dropped my digital cam that was under two years old and BROKE it! Oh man, was I upset. I can't afford a new one just yet. I am lost without a camera. *sigh*

The director asked me to cook in the kitchen today. Ha. I'm was planning on sleeping in today. I just smiled and said, "Nope, can't do it." Been there, done that. I used to work in a christian school, cooking for 220 people a day, BY MYSELF. No thank you. I'll stick to watching the nose pickers. I didn't get out of bed until 12:30pm, heh.

I have to drive Shawn to meet his father this evening after I drop Thomas off at the ball field. Greg will pick him up. They decided to have practices on Friday nights. That's just insane. Don't they realize that people want to relax and enjoy Friday nights?! Goobers.

Ok, I'm off to do a round of laundry.
