The snow didn't end until this morning. The total accumilation is around 14 inches. Last night, around 5:30pm, Greg drove his dad home and got stuck on the sharp curve. (Now he knows how I felt, being stuck there for 4 hours the last time we had snow.) The neighbor was out with his tractor scraping the road and tried to pull him out. No luck. Greg had just stopped in town at McDonalds and had three milk shakes and two sodas sitting on the floor in the truck. By the time I walked down there (aren't I sweet?!) and took the food from him, one soda bit the dust and I lost another on the way to the house.
He finally got the truck out after getting totally ticked off and decided that the truck was either gonna continue over the bank and hit a tree or take him to the house. Silly Monkey.
I think the snow stopped around 9am this morning, but I was too sick to get out of bed to enjoy it. (I LOVE snow). The "stomach flu" was going around the infant room at the daycare and sure enough, I got it. I spent my day/evening in bed. I did have to get up for a while to sign tons of papers about the new house we want. We have a contract on it, but it is contingent on the sale of this house.
I am only online to check the school report for tomorrow. Two hour delay. That means I don't have to try and drive down the road (it's 3/4 mile long) until around 8:15am. The neighbor was back up here today clearing our parking lot and the goober from the real estate company was able to make it in a 4 wheel drive SUV so I should be ok in the big truck.
I'm not due back to the center until Tues., so hopefully the bug will be gone. Luckily I will be with the Pre-K class insted of the infants. At least they won't sneeze, drool or puke on me and I won't have to change their diapers.
I found out today that I can have chickens and my goat at the new house. It's zoned residential but if you have more than 2 acres, you can have farm animals. Yay! I was really worried about buying a house that had two close neighbors. I didn't want anyone bitching about my roosters.
I'm sorta worried about getting excited about his house. Everything depends on the sale of this house. Ugh.
Gotta go see what Shawn's watching on TV. I don't like the language I hear coming from the living room.
