Blah Blah Blah....

I haven't been posting lately as I've had nothing to say, to be honest. I have been fighting this damned headache all week, but I'm sure my medical issues are boring to read about, so I've stayed away from this thing.

I had to work yesterday with the two year olds for a few hrs., then on to the infant room until 1pm. They tried to get me to stay until 5:30pm but my head had other plans. Not going to get into all that but I will say this, Imitrex made me SICK as a dog. I'll never take it again.

I got a post card about the locking system for the car being in at the dealership. The trunk lock broke and so they had to order the part so they could replace all of the locks and the ignition. I'll have to drop the car off Sunday evening so they can work on it.

Greg got a raise yesterday. An additional chunk of change in your check that you're not expecting is always nice. He's hoping it wasn't a typo. I told him as hard as he works there, they should give him double that. I'm thinking that extra money could fund my new spring wardrobe, heh. I always seem to buy everyone else the things they need, then I'm left with hardly nothing to wear.

I have to sign Thomas up for baseball tomorrow. We missed the first sign up day. Try outs are on the last Sat. of this month then practice starts. Happy Happy, Joy Joy. Can you tell I don't care for baseball? I'm glad that Thomas enjoys it though. His father always told me he wanted him to give baseball a try. Baseball was Tom's favorite sport. I often wonder if he can see the ball field from Heaven. I hope he's watching.

Thomas has been playing the recorder in music class for a week now. (Google it if you don't know what it is.) Unfortunatley Shawn had one from his elementary days and gave it to Thomas. Now when you have a migraine, the last thing you wanna hear is the same three notes OVER AND OVER again. So, his smart mother took that recorder, a peice of paper and pencil and drew out the notes for Mary Had a Little Lamb. Those were the three notes he was playing. I had to show him one more to complete the song.

He took one look at my sheet of music and said, "What's all the D's for?" Ummmm, Thomas, those are notes. He said that he needed B A and G written out for him to be able to play it so I wrote the name of the note on top of it. His father wanted me to let him take piano lessons. Sorry Tom, I think we'll stick to the recorder. My head can't handle piano at this time, heh.

I tried to get Thomas to play the song by ear but he couldn't do it. I remember when I took clarinet lessons in the 5th grade. I could look at the note and play it, but never could remember what the name of the note was. I could also play by ear and it used to infuriate the music intstructor when he'd ask me the name of the notes and I couldn't answer.

One day, when I had pushed him over the edge, he said, "Pack it up and go!" Well, ya don't have to tell me twice. I packed it up and never came back. He called my mom to try to get me back but I was stubborn even then. Who knows, I could have been one of the greatest clarinet players in the world if it weren't for a grouchy old man who had no patience for a cute little 5th grader who COULD PLAY THE DAMNED SONG, lol. *sigh* I later taught myself to play the guitar in the 8th grade. My aunt rented one for me but just about that time I had discovered boys so the guitar sat collecting dust in the closet.

Well, I'm having a major brain cramp now and have come up empty on things to write about, so I'll try to finish this later.
