Pain Pain, go away...

Don't come back another day! Ugh...I woke up this morning with my hands swollen BAD. I went to work and called the doctor. He thinks it's all related to my toe. I'm beginning to think this guy is permanently out to lunch. He thinks my immune system is over compensating for the infection in my toe, you know, the one he said I was having an allergic reaction to.

Since the antibiotic wasn't working he decided to take off part of my toe nail right then and there. Ok I said, just give me a pillow to squeeze and possibly cry in! After injecting my toe with lidocaine, he left me for about 10 min. He started to snip and right as I said, "Are you sure that thing is numb?", I felt the pain. One more stick with the needle, 5 more minutes and snip, snip the nail was off. I did feel some pain but it could have been a whole lot worse!

I'm now at home with 6 pain pills and a cup of mountain dew. I have to get the boys at 4pm but then I'm crawling back in bed. I'm not looking forward to the numbness wearing off.

My job is changing soon. Another girl who had my job before I came is taking it over again. She will be working from 8am - 1pm and I will be on the substitute list. I already have a job on Tuesday from 7:30am - 3:30pm in the two's room. This is GREAT because my "Silly Monkey" is there! hehe. I can't wait to hug and squeeze him!
