This picture was taken when Shawn was just 4 years old. We were at Chris' baseball game. I loved snuggling with my little ones. They grow up so fast!
I can't believe he's 15! Shawn is my #3 child. I have 4 kids, for those of you who don't know. Christopher is 23, Amanda is 18, Shawn is 15 today and Thomas is soon to be 9! They sure do grow up fast.
It's scary to think he'll be driving next year. We have my old Hyundai up on the hill behind the house. Amanda was driving it back and forth to work/school and the transmission decided to take a hike. It is still driveable, if you don't want to go over 40mph. We have decided that we'll fix it up and give it to Shawn to drive when he starts drivers Ed this fall. Greg's sister is the PE/Driving instructor. She'll have Shawn in her class next fall. He's already asking me about car insurance...I think he's got the itch. heh.
Someone came by to view the house today around 2pm. I had to tidy up which was hard considering how I am feeling but the boys helped a great deal. I took the meds the ER doctor gave me and left to go to the mall. So much had happened this past week that I didn't get a chance to buy Shawn a present. We ended up letting him pick out what he wanted. We had to stop half way there as the meds made my stomach ill but I felt better soon afterwards and was left to wander the Belk department store with a gift card that I received on Christmas day.
The boys went to all of the shoe and game stores with Greg. They came back with 4 games and Shawn got a nice pair of black tennes shoes for school. Thomas had $50 in the bank from a Christmas gift so he was able to shop as well. I came home with a sweater and another pull over top that I can wear to work.
We went to a little place in the mall called Country Cookin' but I think someone forgot to tell the cook that it was supposed to taste like country cooked food! lol And wow, the odor I smelled as I walked in the door almost made me want to turn around and leave. I thought it smelled like a mens locker room but the guys thought I was nuts. Needless to say, THEY enjoyed their dinner. I spent the ride home hoping I didn't need to pull over. *And that's all I'm going to say about that.*
Thomas is in bed now and Shawn is still playing his new football game. I think it's for the Xbox. Anyay, I'm off to dry clothes then climb in bed. Thank goodness I don't have to work tomorrow!
Nite.
